#EndSARSNow: President Will Takes Actions Soon— Buhari’s Aide Hints

The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has announced that the presidency will take actions (#EndSARSNow) against Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS).

Brandnewsday reports that Ahmad revealed that President Buhari has received a briefing about the unpropitious incident—#EndSARSNow and #EndPoliceBrutality protest, however, actions will be taken soon.

The newly married President’s aide made this known via his Twitter handle on Friday while responding to the nationwide outrage by Nigerians over the unlawful operations of SARS officials.

According to Ahmad, the President has received a briefing about the unfortunate incident and actions will be taken soon.

“Good people of Nigeria have every right to protest the police brutality or anything they see is not going on well.

“The President was briefed yesterday by the IG of Police, I am very sure action will be taken and in the best interest of Nigerians. EndSARSProtests,” he said.

Meanwhile, the EndSARSNow and #EndPoliceBrutality have been the number 1 trend on the Nigeria micro-blogging platform, Twitter for about three days respectively. Also, the trend has been the number 1 across the globe; which has drawn global attention to the menace many Nigerian youths are facing in the hands of those to protect them.
