BrandNewsDay reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four permanent secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The appointments were prompted by the upcoming retirement of two permanent secretaries and the creation of a new youth development secretariat.

A statement released on Wednesday, August 14, by Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press at the Office of the FCT Minister, confirmed the appointees: Okeke Joy Chinwe (South East), Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde (South West), and Nathan Nancy Sabanti (North East).
President Tinubu has also formalised the position of the Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration as solicitor-general/permanent secretary for the legal services secretariat.
The swearing-in ceremony for the new permanent secretaries and the Mandate Secretary for the Youth Development Secretariat is scheduled for Thursday, August 15.
Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the National Policy on Health Workforce Migration, a significant initiative targeted at addressing the critical challenges facing Nigeria’s health sector.
The policy, which seeks to manage, harness, and ultimately reverse the migration of healthcare professionals from Nigeria, was announced by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, on Monday via his X handle.

“This afternoon, HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in-Council, approved a landmark policy set to transform healthcare human resource management in Nigeria,” Pate said. He noted that the policy reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to building a resilient and robust healthcare system.
“The National Policy on Health Workforce Migration addresses the critical challenges facing Nigeria’s health human resources. As the AU Champion for Human Resources for Health and Community Health Delivery Partnership, Mr. President’s commitment to a resilient and robust healthcare system is powerfully reflected in this forward-looking policy.”
