BREAKING: Wike Rescues Nunieh Despite Police Siege Of Her Apartment

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has relocated the former Managing Director of the Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh out of her apartment to the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Brandnewsday gathers that the Nigerian Police Force had stormed the home of the former Interim Chairman of NDDC, Joi Nunieh in the early hour of Thursday, at 3, Owuru Creek view, off Herbert Macaulay Street, Old GRA, Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile, Governor Wike’s visit was predicated by the invasion of the residence of Nunieh by the police force early Thursday.

However, the Governor’s reason for interfering in the affair of the invasion is yet to be ascertained, as at the time of filing this report.  Meanwhile, Wike interference is coming ahead of Nunieh’s appearance before a Senate panel in Abuja investigating the activities of the NDDC today.

Sources confirm that Nunieh is being invited for questioning by the Police, a piece of information that is yet to be authenticated by the Spokesman of the Rivers State police command, SP Omoni Nnamdi.

President Buhari’s minister, Godswill Akpabio and Nunieh have been embroiled in a war of words over allegations of corruption in the NDDC.

The former MD of NDDC accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, budget padding, fraud, among others, which the Minister has denied.
