Investors’ Wealth Sheds 0.01% To Extend Profit-Taking
Transactions on Lagos Custom Street closed for today (Wednesday) in the negative region to extend the previous day’s negative sentiment, as NGX-ASI dipped marginally by 0.01%. The marginal decline was sustained, as a result of losses in four major market, save for the Oil and Gas sector that gained 5.26%. Consequently, the market breadth closed negatively, recording 22 losers as against 19 gainers.
In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) dropped by 2.39 absolute points, representing a decline of 0.01% to close at 39,303.09 points. While the overall Market Capitalization value lost N2.06 billion, representing a decrease of 0.01% to close at N20.57 trillion.

CHIPLC emerged as the top gainer (by percentage points) for today, with a maximum price appreciation of 10.00%, while FTNCOCOA emerged as the top loser (by percentage points) with a maximum price depreciation of -10.00%.

The Investors and Exporters (I&E) FX window opened at N410.19 traded high at N436.55, and low at N401.10 and eventually closed at N411.25, representing a 0.10% depreciation against Tuesday’s position. Also, a total of $48.42 million was transacted through the I&E window today.
MONEY MARKET
Overnight (O/N) rate closed at 15.25%, representing a 0.50% appreciation against Tuesday’s position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 15.00%, representing a 0.75% appreciation as against Tuesday’s position.
