How Zenith Bank’s Poor Network Made Its Customer Donates 1M Naira To Robbers
Zenith Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading commercial banks has indeed, become a headliner, as one of its customers narrates how the bank’s continuous poor network led to him becoming an armed robbery victim.
BrandNewsDay understands that the customer identified as Okonkwor Chinedu narrated how Zenith Bank’s service ineptitude pushed him to lose 1 Million Naira, during a hard time in Nigeria.
Chinedu vented his anger and pain to call out on the Nigerian Bank over its negligence towards responding to complaints from its customers as well as rectifying its constant network issues which oftentimes leave many unclear and stranded.
The alleged robbery victim took to the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly Twitter) to drag the bank, Chinedu alleged that the bank’s poor network pushed him into stepping into a branch of the bank in Abakaliki to withdraw the sum of One Million Naira ( N1,000,000), only to be robbed immediately he stepped out of the banking hall.

Chinedu explained that he was asked to talk to one of the managers who at first displayed a nonchalant attitude towards the issue until he was accused of being a part of the syndicate before he was granted an audience.
Being one of many customers who have been calling out Zenith Bank over its poor network, Chinedu who expressed shock at how everything played out, ignited the flames of anger of other customers of the bank who also took to social media to drag the bank over various failed transactions which are yet to be refunded.

Reacting to its customers’ outbursts on the social media platform, the bank appealed that the complainants, instead should send them a direct message on social media to evade fraudsters taking notes and having access to their account information.
Meanwhile, Chinedu’s melting-down frustration is one of many customers of the Nigerian bank complaining of unauthorized deductions from their accounts, fund siphoning, or poor network performances.
