BrandNewsDay Nigeria reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed that the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock papers will now be held on April 9 as against the earlier scheduled date, April 16.
JAMB made this known in its weekly bulletin from the Office of the Registrar on Monday in Abuja.
The board said the change was due to the realisation that April 16, earlier scheduled, was an Easter Saturday, a holy Saturday celebrated by Christians to mark the end of the Lent period before Easter Sunday.

BrandNewsDay reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Friday, March 4, 2022, said there may be no extension of the registration deadline for candidates, for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This online news platform understands that JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, made this known while monitoring the registration exercise in some centres on Friday, in Lagos State.
The JAMB Registrar noted that observation and feelers reaching the board from states across Nigeria reveal that the exercise has been seamless, hence there may be no room for an extension.
