The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rejected the National Business and Technical Examinations Board( NABTEB) advanced level as an entry requirement for Direct Entry into tertiary institutions.
Brand News Day Nigeria reports that the Board made this known in a report, adding that the directive became necessary following the discovery that relevant government policies on A/ Level programmes do not permit NABTEB from conducting Advanced Level examinations.
The Board, in a statement by the Director of Admissions, Mohammed Ahmed made available to Vice-Chancellors and other Heads of tertiary institutions in the country, said that JAMB would not process the admission of any candidate with NABTEB A/L Certificate. To continue reading, CLICK HERE.

In an effort to scrutinize the irregularities going rounds in the annual-UTME in Nigeria, JAMB has taken some steps further to halt examination malpractices.
Brand News Day Nigeria reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in a bid to curb the various infractions of CBT Center owners have published the list of suspended and de-listed centres during and after the 2021 UTME registration exercise and Mock examination.
JAMB News Update: Latest JAMB News For Today Tuesday 25 January 2022
Candidates are hereby informed that the under-listed CBT Centers has been blacklisted/suspended/de-listed from the registration of students for the 2021 UTME Registration exercise and other various activities on the JAMB portal and henceforth pending when the board lifts the suspension on them, and at such candidates are to desist from patronizing these centres.
The under-listed Computer Based Test (CBT) Centers have been delisted/de-recognized/suspended by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) during the 2021 UTME/DE Registration exercise due to the following mistakes:
- Unethical Practice during 2021 UTME/DE Registration
- Moved sensitive materials to another location outside the approved premises and extortion of candidates
- Purported loss of sensitive material

JAMB has Reveals date that the 2022 UTME, DE Registration Will begins
Brand News Day Nigeria reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed the date for the commencement of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination as well as the Direct Entry examination, DE registration.
This online news website obtained that the JAMB’s Director of Public Relations, Dr Fabian Benjamin, who made the announcement on Monday, said the registration exercise would commence in February 2022.
Similarly, the Board in its weekly bulletin made available to Brand News Day Nigeria noted that the 2022 UTME/DE registration would commence on February 12, 2022, and end on March 19.
