Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has directed the Nigeria Police Force‘s officers and members to go on the attack and bring the war against crime to the homes of suspected criminals.
According to reports from police commands and formations all around the nation, Baba is claimed to have made the order while examining the general security condition of the country.
According to reports, he gave police commissioners the go-ahead to carry out routine patrols, stop-and-search operations, raids, and displays of force by tactical commanders in order to reduce the amount of crime that was being reported in some areas of the nation.

Furthermore, he gave orders to all police commissioners to set up impenetrable security measures to safeguard the important national infrastructures within their purview, including schools, hospitals, and medical personnel.
Public Relations Officer, NPF, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement made available to BRANDNEWSDAY on Sunday.
“The IGP has tasked strategic police managers at various levels to prioritize the deployment of information gathering networks, notably traditional/local intelligence to find criminal hideouts and flush them out prior to striking,” the statement said.
“He has likewise commanded all officials and men to push the war against crime to the doorposts of suspected criminal elements, including bushes and incomplete buildings, profile them, and charge those found wanting to courts in accordance.

The IGP has however warned officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force to be civil, professional and humane in the course of discharging their duties.
