BrandNewsDay Nigeria reports that a pound is bought at the official market at ₦508.2804 and sold for ₦509.8806.

According to the data obtained from the CBN website, the exchange rate between the Nigerian naira and the British Pounds opened at ₦498.85/£1 on Friday 12th August 2022, after it sold at the rate of ₦498.8 to £1 on Thursday, 11 August 2022.
The exchange rate for a pound to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) – Pounds exchanged for as low as ₦758 and as high as ₦750 on Saturday morning, August 13, 2022, after it sold at the rate of ₦758 to a £1 on Friday, 12th August 2022, according to sources at the Bureau De Change (BDC).
Meanwhile, BDC players buy Pounds Sterling at the rate of ₦758/750 and sell to investors/ buyers at the rate of ₦753.
