The exchange rate between the Naira to US dollar, according to the data posted on the FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is officially traded showed that the naira opened at ₦414.69 per dollar Today Saturday, 21 May 2022, after the dollar to naira yesterday – Friday, May 20, 2022, closed at ₦415.69 per $1. This represents a change of 0.01%.
Notably, the CBN dollar to naira rate, the apex bank buys the dollar at ₦414.69 rate and sells it at the rate of ₦415.69.
The Nigeria parallel market (black market dollar Aboki exchange rate today) to the Nigerian Naira is as follows: For the Lagos market (black market).
The local currency opened at N600.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Saturday, 21 May 2022, in Lagos Nigeria, after it closed at N597.00 per $1 on Friday, 20th May 2022.
Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦600 per $1 today, BrandNewsDay reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market.
The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.
