Taraba State Govt Speaks On How Community Spreads COVID-19

The Taraba State Commissioner for Health and Chairman of the COVID-19 Committee, Dr Innocent Vakkai has disclosed that the 24 new cases of the coronavirus as announced by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in the last 24 hours was as a result of community spread of the virus.

The technical committee on COVID-19 made this known in the state capital, Jalingo on while addressing the press on Wednesday, noted that the 24 new cases were contacts of those who tested positive earlier.

Abducted Taraba State Police Imam, Pregnant Woman Regain Freedom

The Taraba State Police Command’s Imam, Mustapha Nuhu and Ikilima Auwal, the pregnant woman, who were kidnapped in the state have regained their freedom.

The two persons who were abducted last week in Jalingo and Lau town in Lau local government area of the state have been set free by the kidnappers.
