COVID-19: Rtn. Aderibigbe Samuel Leads Team, Donate Relief Materials, Nose Mask (PHOTOS)

Rotary Club of Alagbado in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic in Nigeria and most especially in Lagos and her community; embarked on the club’s coronavirus pandemic project.

This focuses on the distribution of food items, hundreds of nose masks and hand sanitizers to residents of Alagbado community in Alagbado area of Lagos State.

Brandnewsday gathered that the project execution began on a Saturday morning when the club visited Light for The Lost Orphans Home to donate food items and other relieve materials to the less privileged.

According to the Club President, Rtn. Aderibigbe Temitope Samuel who led the team of humanitarian servicemen to the project site said, “the club has to come here because residents of this home are very vulnerable and they needed quality support from the people and that is why we have come here to extend our hands of fellowship to the home.

Mr Ebenezer who received the Rotary delegates during the project execution further appreciated Rotary Club of Alagbado for counting Light for the Lost Orphans Home worthy of being part of the beneficiaries.

“I thank the Rotary Club for coming to our aid at this very trying time, we are happy to be one of the beneficiaries of this project. We are happy”, Mr Ebenezer said.

Rotary Club of Alagbado further visited Ile – Odo Community Development Association in Alagbado and Meiran Police Station at Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Alimosho Local Government Area.

The COVID-19 packages were presented to the Divisional Police Officer in Meiran for onward distribution to every other junior officer in the station.

In the same vein, Ile – Odo Community Development Association in Alagbado was also visited and were given several packs of the palliative items goes to the community as well in a reasonable quantity.

The DPO SP Toyosi Shokunbi, says rotary is known for doing good in the whole world and this is another one here under my nose today. I am impressed he says.

While speaking for Ile – Odo Community Development Association, Mr Hammed Mukaila, The chairman of the CDA prays that Rotary Club of Alagbado will continue to wax stronger in all they do now and beyond.

Rtn. Aderigbigbe Temitope Samuel used the opportunity to appreciate The Rotary District for giving the club the COVID19 Pandemic Relief fund which the club now added its counterpart funding to make things situation work.
