Amidst the surge of the dreaded coronavirus pandemic, the Emir of Kaura, Ahmad Muhammad Asha died during the early hours of today, May 3, 2020.
Brandnewsday gathered that shortly after the news of the death of Emir of Rano Dr Tafida Abubakar Ila II was announced, the 71-year-old, Emir of Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State has reportedly died after a brief illness.
According to Dan Jekan Kaura Namoda, the immediate brother of the late Emir of Kaura, he had been battling with diabetes and hypertension. Adding that the Emir spent four days in his palace, responding to treatment when the illness struck again.
Meanwhile, he is set to be buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday.
“He was taken to Yariman Bakura Specialists Hospital where he died after three days of admission.”
“Asha is survived by three wives and 11 children,” Namoda revealed.
