The exchange rate between the Naira and the US dollar according to the US dollar at N464.39 /$1 at the I&E window on Friday represents a 0.21% uptick from N463.38/$1 recorded in the previous trading activities.
The Nigeria parallel market (black market dollar Aboki exchange rate today) to the Nigerian Naira is as follows: For the Lagos market (black market).
The local currency opened at N743.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Sunday, 2 April 2023, in Lagos Nigeria, after it closed at N740.00 per $1 on Saturday, 1 April 2023.
Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦743 per $1 today, BrandNewsDay reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market.
The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.
BrandNewsDay Nigeria reports that in the naira-to-dollar black market, the players buy a dollar for N730 to 740 and sell at N743 on Sunday, 2 April 2023, after purchasing at N735 and selling for N740 on Saturday, 1 April 2023.
Meanwhile, Brand News Day Nigeria reports that the USD started this week at ₦750 in Parallel Market, also known as Black Market on Monday, 27 March 2023, in Lagos Nigeria, after it opened at ₦748 last week Monday, 20 March 2023.
