BrandNewsDay reports that the co-founder of Popular Lagos Eatery, Bukka Hut, Laolu Martins was reported to have ended it all in the early hour of today, Wednesday.

Laolu Martins was said to have committed suicide around 3 a.m today in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

Martins until his death was the co-founder of the popular Lagos Eatery, Bhuka Hospitality Limited.

Commenting on the Bukka Hut co-founder’s sudden death, Eniola Daniel said, on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, on his verified handle wrote, ”A friend of his and other sources claimed he committed suicide for a reason I don’t want to state here”

”His partner and Co-Founder of Bukka Hut, Rasheed Jayeola, who only recently led his team to open their 15th outlet in the Ikorodu part of Lagos State.

Family of the late Bukka Hut co-founder, Laolu Martins asks for privacy. Concerned persons have reached out to me that everything regarding his death should not come up because of his family. May his family overcome this shock and a big loss. Reach out to your friends always”.

Meanwhile, reacting to the development, Buka Hut management in an official statement sent condolence to the family of the deceased.

The statement reads;

With a heavy, we regret to announce the demise of one of our directors and co-owners. Mr Olaolu Martins, until his death, was a key contributor and strong pillar to our business from inception to date. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May his dear soul rest in perfect peace”. 

Furthermore, until the time of this writing, the reason behind Martins’ action is yet to be ascertained.
