Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola’s convoy was reportedly attacked Friday night by suspected hoodlums, BRANDNEWSDAY report.
Although details of the incident were still vague as of the time of filing this report, sources in Owode, Ede, the scene of the incident, claimed that Mrs. Oyetola’s convoy was traveling to Osogbo and was near the Owode market when intermittent gunshots were heard on Friday night at 8 o’clock.
Alayande, a local resident who wished to go by just that name, informed BRANDNEWSDAY on Saturday that a truck had caused a traffic obstruction when the caravan arrived at the Owode market crossroads.
A fight broke out amongst security personnel who were part of the convoy as they attempted to get the truck driver to relocate.

Osun police command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, has not responded to text message sent to her on the matter as of the time of filing this report.
But Information Officer to the office of the First Lady, Oluwatunmise Iluyomade, said the convoy was attacked.
She said “No life was lost in the incident. Some security personnel attached to the convoy sustained various degrees of injuries.”
