Since the past few days, it’s has been black days in Nigeria’s commercial city, Lagos State, as series of events are unfolding since the inceptions of the #EndSARS protests with no clear destinations.
Brandnewsday reports that Thursday, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) offices at Iyana Oworo and Agege have been set ablaze by some angry mob.
The attack occurred in less than 24 hours after the family house of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s mother’s family house was burnt, the Headquarters of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), the Palace of Oba of Lagos among other places set ablaze.
Recall that there was an attack on Peaceful Protesters of the #EndPoliceBrutality at the Lekki toll-gate on Friday, October 20, 2020. As a corollary, stroke the anger in many Nigerian Youths to take to the streets resulting in destroying of properties belonging to the government and some notable personalities.
These attacks have occurred in the heat of the #EndSARS, a protest against Police brutality especially by a disbanded police unit known as the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has since debunked the report, labelling major headlines of the Army massacre as “Fake News”, despite video evidence of this report.
