The World Health Organisation (WHO) on Friday, disclosed that coronavirus is a respiratory disease and it cannot travel on radio waves or on 5G mobile networks.
Brandnewsday reports that WHO in a statement on Friday, debunked the conspiracy theory linked to the 5G network and the novel COVID-19 pandemic, added that COVID-19 was spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks.
WHO said, “People can also be infected by touching a contaminated surface and then their eyes, mouth or nose.”
The World Health body further stated that the COVID-19 was spreading across many countries that did not have 5G mobile networks.
Speaking further on the myth of the virus, WHO stated that if a person that contracted the coronavirus did not limits the person could not be healed and would be living with the virus forever. It further stated that thousands of people have recovered from the disease.
In a statement, WHO said, “Most COVID-19 infected persons can recover and eliminate the virus from their bodies.
“If you are infected by the disease, make sure you treat your symptoms.
“If you have a cough, fever, and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early, but call your health facility by telephone first.”
COVID-19 causes illness such as common cold, fever and difficulty in breathing. The novel COVID-19 spreads via droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes and their droplets lands in the mouth or noses of their people. It can be contracted by touching contaminated surfaces or objects or touching the eyes, nose or mouth.
People that have contracted the deadly virus spend a maximum number of 14 days in self-isolation while people with suspected cases are to be self-quarantine.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) is affecting over 127 countries and territories around the world and 1 international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harboured in Yokohama, Japan).
