President Tinubu has pleaded with Nigerians to forgive him if he has gone against their wills.
Brand News Day Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and moral renewal as Muslims commence the Ramadan fast, emphasising forgiveness and compassion as core teachings of the holy month.
The President, while speaking at a Ramadan Tafsir held at the State House Mosque in Abuja, said Ramadan offers an opportunity for spiritual reflection and a return to values that strengthen society.
“We start this Ramadan knowing the teachings it brings to all of us. This is to get closer to God, to do good to people, to share love and faith, and to forgive sins,” President Tinubu said.
The Nigerian leader urged Nigerians to forgive one another and work collectively toward national harmony.
“If I have sinned against you, forgive me. As Nigerians, we must learn to forgive and live in peace with one another,” the President stated.
President Tinubu added that the observance of Ramadan should inspire citizens to promote unity and encourage acts of kindness that contribute to national development.
