Grammy Nominations 2024: Davido Loses All 3 Nominations At 2024 Grammy Awards

Davido encountered a surprising defeat at the 66th Grammy Awards. The FIA crooner was nominated for three awards, however, the acclaimed Nigerian artist left the star-studded event without any coveted trophies.

BrandNewsDay reports that David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, vibrant beats of Afrobeat maestro, Davido had set his sights on triumph in three distinguished categories.

The categories Nigerian Artiste was nominated for include Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance. Alas, fate took a different turn, leaving both fans and the music industry in disbelief.

Meanwhile, the nominated categories were won by Tyla’s ‘Water’ flowed to victory in the Best African Music Performance, while ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia claimed the Best Global Music Performance accolade. As for the Best Global Album Performance, Shakti’s ‘The Moment’ claimed the Grammy spotlight, eclipsing Davido’s aspirations.
