It’s Only Prayers That Would Bring Nigeria Out Of Kidnapping, Banditry — First Lady, Remi Tinubu Tells Nigerians

Nigerian First Lady, Remi Tinubu has resulted in prayer as arms in place of tactical strategies to eliminate the uprising insecurity in the country.

BrandNewsDay reports that Senator Oluremi said that it is prayer that would bring Nigeria out of the conundrum of insecurity, as the country is presently experiencing a new height of instability in the country.

The Nigerian First Lady made the statement via a tweet on the popular micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to express her gratitude for the safe return of Al-Kadriyar’s family from the kidnapers’s den.

In her words, “I rejoice with the Al-Kadriyar family, friends and Nigerians in general for the safe return of the Al-Kadriyar sisters.

”Prayer Works and I want to thank all Nigerians, especially mothers for praying for the safe return of the Al-kadriyar sisters. Let us however not relent in our prayers.

The wife of the president said: ”Let us intensify our prayers as it is prayers that would bring us out of this conundrum we find ourselves as a nation.

”I commend our security agencies for their efforts and urge them not to relent in combating insecurity in our Nation.

”God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Reacting to the First Lady, a lot of Nigerians have expressed their displeasure over Mrs Tinubu’s stand for fashioning prayer as weaponry against insecurity instead of ammunition.

An X user, identified as Charles said, ”If you are honest enough you supposed to know that prayers can not do what our leaders supposed to do for us. Stop deceiving yourself.”

Another user said, ”Let’s all buy a bottle of water, put it on a table and pray to God for it to enter our stomachs when we have hands… Let’s pray to God when we’re dehydrated for his mercy will gulp water into our mouths… Even the Western world prays for security too.”

One Hassan Musa Abba said, ”So you pretend not to hear about the ransom paid by the family? Please this hypocrisy should be stopped. Everyone knows that ransom was paid through crowdfunding”.

Recalled that on the 15 of January 2024, the Nigerian First Lady called out Nigerian mothers to pray profusely for the return of the remaining members of Al-Kadriyar’s family after the news of Nabeelah getting killed went viral.

She said, “It is with a heavy heart that I acknowledge the devastating loss of Nabeeha and extend my deepest condolences to her grieving family. In difficult moments like this, I urge the nation to join in fervent prayers for the safe return of these girls. Let us hold the families close to our hearts in prayers.

”I implore our security agencies to intensify their efforts in addressing the pressing matter of kidnappings and insecurity in our nation. The safety and swift return of the Al-Kadriyar sisters and others in captivity should be our paramount concern.”To the parents, especially mothers, I appeal for intensified prayers for our children and for peace to prevail in our beloved country.
