Principal Functions

  • Schedule Voiceover artist recordings and deployment/upload of IVR prompts.

  • This role will work across departments while taking responsibility for planning and executing the quality assurance, measurement, and audit functions to ensure fulfilment of deliveries as stipulated in requirements, and to ensure adherence to 9mobile’s Quality standards on projects, products and other deliveries within the IT organization.

Principal Functions
Tactical:

  • Keep abreast of global and local best practices as it relates to solution delivery, software testing, customer experience management & customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous review of the project, BAU and product development end-to-end processes from ideation to delivery to solution/product retirement, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to enhance business efficiency and customer experience.
  • Ensure deliveries comply with industry benchmarked quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Operational:

  • Oversee end to end solution delivery processes and assure quality of requirements delivered utilizing the various layers of testing (SIT, Performance, E2E, UAT) while maintaining adequate logs of issues encountered for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor product roadmap, review concepts vis-a-vis customer journey map to infuse alignment of customer experience practices into product design and implementation.
  • As part of the Quality Assurance process, ensure that customer experience requirements are captured in product implementation and validated.
  • Responsible for PQA in strategic projects.
  • Manage process frameworks, templates, checklists, documents, and performance.
  • Assist Head QA in development, constant review and implementation of project-related quality framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the transitioning process of the solutions from delivery to post-delivery management to ensure solution quality is maintained.
  • Work with program stakeholders across IT to ensure delivery change documentation is published to expected quality standards.

  • Liaise with change managers to ensure key stakeholders and user communities are engaged and are correctly informed prior to change deployments to proactively avoid post go-live issues.
  • Engage release leads, developers, and technical teams to create, test and stage production deployment for all approved changes.
  • Identify, influence, and lead the implementation of best practice initiatives that contribute to the overall team improvement on the efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist Head QA in translating IT Governance and Quality strategy and plans into specific improvement programs/projects.
  • Attend team/departmental meetings as required, drive actions to delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum Six years (6) relevant experience in Quality Management/Assurance Role in IT /Telecom industry.
  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Management or a related discipline preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Software Testing theories and practices.

Certification and advanced knowledge of at least two of the standards:

  • Services ITIL ISO2000, Software ISO/IEC12207-2008, ISEB
  • PMP/Prince 2.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project, MS Office
  • Oracle Database: SQL Fundamentals
  • ISTQB/ISEB Certified Tester Intermediate Level (CTFL), BCS

Manager, Ran Rollout

Job Specifications:

Job Description:
  • Coordinate the delivery of all RAN rollout projects and implementation activities within the region to ensure projects are delivered on time and to right quality.
  • Proactively highlight and proffer solutions to failings which may cause or lead to blockage and or delay in the RAN Projects prior to occurrence.

Principal Functions

  • Responsible for the delivery of all RAN implementation projects and activities in the region through the regional implementation team. [Projects include 2G/3G/4G sites, links (new or upgrade), Enterprise projects, Fibre and others]
  • Provide regular updates and inputs for forecasting, planning & tracking of site build and rollout progress
  • Gather required documentation and information for the management of on sites deployment across the region, resolve issues (radio, core and transmission) when requested to do so and provide solutions by liaising with other units in the technical department
  • Investigate issues with vendors where delays are continuously blocking progress and report status to management for resolution.
  • Prepare status reports on vendor activities, gather data and provide up to date reports for management use.
  • Visit major EMTS sites, RNCs BSCs, BTSs and Node Bs, cross checking technical designs and drawings for conformity ensuring reliability of delivery without blocking points arising in the implementation and contract process by working as liaison between affected departments.
  • Ensure vendors have not missed items in the BoQ that may affect the planned progress on the RAN and highlight potential blocking points in the BoQ which could lead to serious delays of the RAN.
  • Ensure that projects in the region are executed to contract terms.

  • Report potential unforeseen delays of the RAN progress status to the Radio, Core and Transmission Teams
  • Proactive in foreseeing major and minor blocking points ahead of the scheduled plan, proffer solutions on identified problems and agree with the vendor(s) on ways to ensure all RAN and related projects are delivered on time.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures, SHE requirements on all implementation projects at all times by regional rollout team and vendors

  • Coordinate the design and support the implementation of efficient transmission systems to support network expansion/ rollout
  • Develop strategies and plans towards the implementation of a working WAN, and transmission links (E1s, Backbones etc.) to support operational and business needs
  • Coordinate the development of EMTS’s radio Base Station Subsystem coverage and capacity rollout.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and database of existing transmission infrastructure in various EMTS target areas that can be leveraged for transmission services for network development and expansion
  • Conduct technical feasibility of new network features/services.
  • Support the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in communicating the activities and achievements of the department to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of local and global best practices and make recommendations to the CTO on how this impacts the division’s role.

Operational: 9mobile Nigeria Recruitment

  • Oversee the detailed design of EMTS Core and Intelligent Network
  • Plan core network capacity in line with approved network roll out/expansion strategy, market viability and demand planning studies
  • Determine the appropriate locations for switches and other intelligent network element to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Oversee the planning, design and optimisation of core network, systems and platforms to support value added services and ensure compatibility and integration with EMTS’s existing infrastructures.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources in the planning, designing, and dimensioning of VAS, Core and Intelligent Network elements.
  • Ensure that EMTS’s core network design is in line with accepted local and international standards.
  • Provide advice on strategies for rollout of value added services.
  • Follow up with the acquisition, implementation and integration of switches into the network on an ongoing basis in line with subscriber growth and network expansion.
  • Plan for contingencies in network design to accommodate differences between projections and reality.
  • Ensure that detailed access network plan is in line with the design strategy and consistent with the commercial planning division’s coverage requirements.
  • Ensure radio network is designed and optimized in a cost effective way.
  • Oversee, manage and implement all core network and VAS development, transmission planning, RF planning and optimisation activities and EMTS’s radio network coverage and capacity rollout.
  • Oversee the planning of EMTS transmission network to sustain growth in EMTS subscriber base and ensure that forecasted customer demands are met.
  • Provide support in the resolution of issues and faults on EMTS’s transmission network
  • Manage the human and material resources of the department to optimise performance and enhance output by;
  • Assigning detailed responsibilities to subordinates and supervise them to ensure timely delivery of high quality results
  • Motivating, guiding, and ensuring knowledge transfer and capacity building in subordinates
  • Reviewing and authorising key expenditures/transactions of the department in line with approved departmental budget and financial manual of authority
  • Ensuring periodic meetings to communicate departmental goals/targets and agree work plans.
  • Prepare and submit periodic activity/management reports to the Chief Technical Officer.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Technical Officer
Qualifications and Requirements:
