BrandNewsDay reports that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday in Abuja approved over N14 billion to train 50,000 NPower non-graduates of N-power for a period of nine months.
The meeting, which was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, also approved the Business, Facilitation and Miscellaneous Provision Bill.
“These NPower non-graduate beneficiaries, 50,000 of them, will be trained in different skills, using four government agencies as mentioned.

The approvals were disclosed by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, and the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the council meeting.

Sources close to the office of the Humanitarian affairs Minister, Sadiya Umar, who requested anonymity, said, “Our attention has been drawn to repetitive enquiries from Batch C Beneficiaries regarding payment commencement of January stipends, and our clarity verged on the misconception.
“As a matter of clarity, your January 2022 payment is currently being reviewed and is at the concluding stage. To that effect, payment will be initiated any time soon while all 2021 outstanding are gradually being sorted out.
