BJAN Chairman Ekwujuru, for Burial September 30th

Plans have been concluded for the final home-going of the remain of the chairman of Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, (BJAN) Princewill Ekwujuru, who passed on July 23rd, 2021. The late chairman will be interred in his native home, Njaba, Imo State on September 30th, 2021.

It would be recalled that Ekwujuru suffered fatal injuries as a result of a bike accident on July 6th, which left him in a coma for over two weeks but eventually, lost the battle on July 23rd at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Ojo, Lagos.

In collaboration with his family, Vanguard Newspaper management, and BJAN, the funeral rite will officially begin on September 24th in Lagos.

Speaking on this development in a statement made available to newsmen recently in Lagos, the chairman of the burial committee, Chief Goddie Ofose said;

“Mr. Princewill Ekwujuru, chairman, Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, will be committed to mother earth on September 30th, 2021 in his native home, Njaba, Imo State.”

According to the programme of the burial, as issued by the committee, a candlelight procession & Night of Tribute will hold in Lagos on Friday, September 24th, 2021 at Archbishop Vining Open Ground, 9, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA Ikeja by 5 pm.

A funeral service will hold the following week, (Thursday, September 30, 2021) at Njaba, Imo state and his remains interred the same day.
