The international beer brand which was first introduced to the Nigerian market in December with a launch party held in Lagos was rolled-out on Friday, February 12, 2021, across Owerri, Enugu, Ibadan, and Abuja.
Desperados is a celebrated beer brand, first produced by Fischer Brewery, a brewery located in the Alsace region in France almost three decades ago. With its launch, beer lovers worldwide were introduced to a new experience of tequila flavour combined with spicy lemony beer taste. Today, it is still well known for the same tequila flavour and is now sold in over fifty countries across the world.
The brand’s acceptance has continually grown among consumers given the experimentation and unique experience opportunities it offers users, most times in collaboration with some of the world’s best DJs and music artists.
Commenting on the nationwide roll-out, Emmanuel Oriakhi, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc described the Desperados brand as a very unique brand that offers great taste wrapped in the type of classic experiences that young vibrant Nigerians are bound to enjoy.
“This brand is a leader when it comes to experimentation and delivering exciting moments, and we hope to afford young fun lovers across Nigeria the chance to experience this and join our new trybe redefining fun with every bottle of Desperados”, he added.
Since 1995 when Desperados was first introduced to the world, the brand has remained an innovator within the beer market riding on the brand belief that life is one big experiment that takes daring to step beyond the obvious. It brings a distinctive combination of full-bodied icy lager with a boost of tequila flavour, providing fun-lovers with a premium 2-in-1 option for their delight.
Last December, the brand hosted several millennials and Gen Z’s to its exclusive launch event in Nigeria, held at EbonyLife Place, Victoria Island, Lagos, and will be hoping to keep building its trybe of young adults who are daring, fun, and eager to stand out.
