Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP) has notified The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), its finance function following the departure of Mr Abiola Odeyemi as the Company’s Finance Manager with effect from February 19, 2021.
Brandnewsday understands that CAP notified the NSE alongside its esteemed shareholders, stakeholders and the general public of the change within as Odeyemi stepped down and Mrs Ada Aniagu emerged as the CAP’s Company’s Finance Controller.
Meanwhile, Mrs Aniagu who was the Chief Finance Officer of Portland Paints and Products Nigeria Plc has been appointed as the Company’s Finance Controller with effect from February 20, 2021. Mrs Aniagu will assume all responsibilities and obligations.
Ada Aniagu is a seasoned finance professional with over 11 years of extensive corporate experience spanning internal and external audits, tax, management & financial accounting and reporting, as well as budget planning & control and project management.
She holds a second class upper degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business and currently completing an MBA programme with Edinburgh Business School, United Kingdom.
She began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she rose to the position of Senior Associate, Audit and Assurance with responsibility for managing and coordinating audit engagements of several medium and large corporate organisations including multinationals.
She joined the UAC group in 2019, as CFO for UPDC Hotels Limited (UHL). Prior to UHL, she was Financial Controller for Transcorp Hotels Calabar Limited for over 6 years, providing strategic leadership and championing the repositioning of the hotel’s finances to profitability.
Ada is an active member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
