Global Outlook: Euro Zone Forecasts And Top Risks To Watch In 2021 (Video)

The Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) latest global outlook video, Agathe Demarais, Nicholas Fitzroy and Alessandro Cugnasca discuss the outlook for the eurozone and top risks for the global economy in 2021.

The eurozone is set to be one of the fastest-growing regions in 2021. However, growth in the region will not be evenly spread. The EIU’s analyst for Europe, Alessandro Cugnasca, highlights which European countries are likely to rebound from the coronavirus-induced recession faster than others, while also taking a look at the fiscal and monetary policy mix that we can expect next year.

Top risks to watch in 2021

Senior analyst Nicholas Fitzroy discusses some of the key risks that companies and governments will have to monitor in 2021. Social unrest will be one of them, as hits to income levels, rising unemployment and continued lockdown restrictions will fuel popular resentment in many countries across the world.
