1. Gunmen have reportedly invaded a mosque at Soyoye, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, where they kidnapped an Inspector of Police and two other worshippers. A source said the abductors had contacted the families of the victims, demanding an N5 million ransom for each victim.

2. The police in Lagos have dragged a man, Akin Isaac, before an Ikeja Special Offences Court, for allegedly impregnating his 20-year-old biological daughter. Aside from impregnating his daughter, the accused also forced her to abort the pregnancy.

3. Hoodlums have attacked Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in Nnewi South LGA and others in Anambra State. The attack came barely 24 hours after the administrative headquarters of Nnewi South LGA was attacked leaving two people dead.

4. Sheikh Nuru Khalid, Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters Mosque, Abuja, who was suspended for speaking against the government, has said he was unperturbed about the suspension, adding that he learnt about his suspension in the media. He vowed to continue speaking the truth, daring those who perceived his sermon as inciting to show evidence.

5. Abductors of the traditional ruler of the Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have directed family members of the monarch to sell his house in order to raise the N20 million ransom they are demanding.

6. Operatives of the Rapid the Nigerian Police intercepted a busload of illicit drugs at the Mile 2 area of Lagos State. The Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.

It was gathered that the gunmen came through the boundary between Lagos State and Ogun and escaped with their victims inside a boat.

9. A 47-year-old police Inspector, Michael Ogunlade has been confirmed dead during marathon sex with his secret lover, name withheld, at a Hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State. An informed hotel source said that the incident happened around 3:15 pm, on Sunday, shortly after the two of them paid for a short rest at the hotel located at Oke-Ado in Ibadan.

10. The Presidency, on Sunday, in Abuja faulted the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum for declaring the All Progressives Congress unfit to participate in the 2023 general elections. It also accused the governors of playing politics of division and hate, saying that the country profits nothing from the PDP’s “gimmick.”
