This online Newspaper platform confirmed that JAMB made this disclosure in the weekly bulletin of the board. Prospective candidates are to note that the registration for 2022 UTME has ended on March 26th, 2022.

Notably, the number of registered candidates this year shows an increase when compared to the total of 1,338,687 candidates registered for the 2021 JAMB registration. Meanwhile, the examination board registered about 2.1 million candidates in 2020 (pre-NIN and Covid era).

2022 UTME: JAMB Announces New Date For Mock Exams

BrandNewsDay Nigeria reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed that the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock papers will now be held on April 9 as against the earlier scheduled date, April 16

The board said the change was due to the realisation that April 16, earlier scheduled, was an Easter Saturday, a holy Saturday celebrated by Christians to mark the end of the Lent period before Easter Sunday.

JAMB also said the date for the exercise had also been affected by the shift in date for the registration of the UTME and Direct Entry (DE), which was earlier scheduled for February 12 but later commenced on February 19.
